Floyd – Polk Medical Center Critical Access Replacement Hospital is a 66,000 sf critical access replacement hospital in Polk County Georgia on highway 278 between Rockmart and Cedartown. The hospital selected the team of Brasfield & Gorrie and Duffey Southeast to construct the project. In addition to the new replacement hospital a new 22,000 sf medical office building will also be constructed on site. Preconstruction is well underway with site work projected to start in July 2013. Adams Management Service Corporation of Rome is the Program Manager and Earl Swennson Associates of Nashville is the architect. Darrin Kines, Duffey Sr. Project Manager, said “this project will be a great addition for Polk County. The preconstruction has gone exceptionally well and we are excited to start breaking ground this summer”.
