Repeat clients have been at the heart of our business since 1945
The Toyota Material Handling South Fulton location is a state-of-the-art facility designed and built to merge several existing facilities to provide the company with streamlined processes and fiscally responsible methods of operation. Many project and supply chain obstacles were overcome during this project which required the determination, knowledge, and skill of both our field and office operations teams. Through communication, strategic planning and the use of Lean principles, the project delivery was a success, satisfying the needs and goals of our repeat client.
This first-generation tilt-up warehouse buildout consisted of 20K SF of office space, 230K SF of warehouse space, equipment wash bays, and equipment spray booths.
Promoting innovation throughout the construction process is what we do. At Duffey Southeast, we challenge ourselves to look for better solutions and not to simply rely on methods that have been used for generations. Lean Construction principles played a major role in the success of the project. Among Lean concepts, the “Last Planner” system was used to eliminate waste of manpower and motion, accurately manage the workflow, and create a feeling of accountability and ownership for both vendors and subcontractors.
A design build of MEP project, we were able to go through several value engineering exercises to help save the owner time and money.
Like the rest of the construction industry, we ran into supply chain challenges with several trades. One of these challenges was the ability to source concrete. Ultimately, we were able to locate an out of state onsite mixing company to assist with the process and completed our pours on time without any impact on the overall construction schedule.
A productive workflow along with project team comradery and a deep understanding of our client’s goals enabled our project team to satisfy our client’s needs and ensure they had a space to call home for years to come.
